Race report by Greger Landén
This weekend saw the end of the 2017/18 season in the WBC cup. As always it has been a very well organized series of races and all races have been silver lined by the unsurpassed Stefan Svensson as awesome timekeeper/speaker/race director/media coverage. Thank you Stefan, without you it wouldn't be nearly as much fun!

Result wise we are happy with this season. Alexander finshed in 2nd place in 4WD in the race and also managed to salvage a 2nd place overall in the total series. Really fun!

Even if the best position came about in the 4wd portion, what we are most happy about this weekend is the fantastic performance of the 2WD XB2, where we used the new conversion kit to be able to run the rear arms from the XB4. This was something that really suited Alexander's driving style and the 2WD performance for Alexander has never been more solid. With some bad luck in the finals he ended up in 6th place overall, which wasn't bad at all, but could have been much more with the way the car was forking for him.

In the 4WD race Alexander started out in a bad way where he mis-timed a chicane and broke a front arm in the first qualification run. This meant that he would have to do a bit more conservative runs to secure a good starting spot. He did so in good way, and got a 6th in the seconf round, a 3rd in the third round and managed to TQ the last round. The car was working great, and we just made some minor adjustments to rear toe settings and droop to increase the steering in the tighter corners of the track. Elias Johansson had managed to TQ the first three rounds, so this meant that Alexander was lining up second for the A-mains.

The first final saw Alexander battling it out for second place after Elias was able to get an early gap, Alexander eventually ended up third after some incidents had put him way down the order.

The second final again saw some battles that put Alexander down the order end he eventually finished fifth as Elias secured his second win. This meant that going in to the last round of finals the top spot had been secured by Elias, but the rest of the podium was wide open. Elias started the final, but made an early mistake, so Alexander could get by and maintain the lead the rest of the race. Niclas M?nsson ended the last final in second place, and this meant that Alexander and Niclas secured second and third spot in the race respectively.
